Welcome to Blogmas Day number four! Today I am sharing with you two ideas for personalized Christmas sweaters.
The first sweater is one I got from the Saver's market, a super thrift store. I had been looking for a nice Christmas sweater at H&M, but they were all really expensive. So when I came across this sweater I was excited because not only was it a third of the price, but it is the exact sweater I wanted from H&M. So the lesson of the day is, go thrift shopping.
I really love H&M because they have good sales and their clothes are nice. What I don't love is that when you buy something there, odds are you have the same thing as 30% of your friends. So when I brought this home I wanted to personalize it. I went to the craft store and picked up some white fabric and embroidery floss.
I really like the look of Peter Pan collars on sweaters because it adds class to something that was otherwise going to be just casual. They are pretty easy to make, and don't take a lot of time, so it was perfect. I found a bunch of good tutorials online, so if you're interested you can go look some up. They all vary slightly, so browse around to see what you like.
The second sweater I have is something I bought on Etsy. The seller I got it from sends out mystery sweaters, so if you like a little surprise, go check out MyPartyShirt.
Thank you so much for reading! Subscribe to my blog via email to celebrate Blogmas and countdown to Christmas with me!
